Get to Know Larry McCall
Founder of Walking Like Jesus Ministries
Larry, the director of Walking Like Jesus Ministries is an ill-deserving sinner saved by God’s amazing grace through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Larry was gripped by God’s saving grace at an early age and had the amazing privilege of being discipled by his Christian parents and by other mentors in his home church.
In the summer of 2015, with the affirmation of his fellow pastors and with the guidance of a godly board of directors, Walking Like Jesus Ministries was formed. This ministry is dedicated to serving Christians through Larry’s writing, teaching and preaching ministry, which focuses on helping people see in clear, practical ways how to pursue Christ and reflect him in daily life.
Pastor & Speaker
After graduating from both Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary, Larry was further shaped through a 2 year pastoral internship in Pennsylvania, then returned to Winona Lake, Indiana in 1981 to pastor Christ’s Covenant Church. Along the way, Larry completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. He continues to serve on the pastoral team of Christ’s Covenant Church to this day, though in recent years he has been freed from some of his previous pastoral responsibilities, enabling him to serve Christ’s kingdom at large through speaking at conferences and Walking Like Jesus Ministries.
Husband & Family-Man
In 1975 Larry married Gladine, his sweetheart since high school days. They are enjoying this season of life in which they can spend much of their time together, including traveling for to teach seminars and conferences. When they have free time they enjoy activities such as taking walks, biking, kayaking and other water sports. Larry and Gladine have three married children and seven much-loved grandchildren. In God’s kindness, Larry and Gladine are able to have regular, intentional interaction with all seven grandchildren, either face-to-face or through video calls. They find a great privilege to come alongside their adult children in helping disciple the grandchildren for God’s glory and their good.
